The Business Review Weekly contacted us earlier this month regarding the audio visual industry and how we as a business have positioned ourselves to compete against retail giants like Harvey Norman, WOW sight and Sound and JB Hi-Fi. In short we stated that we offer similar products but a vastly different customer experience.
CMM are not the cheapest audio visual suppliers and installers, nor are we the most expensive. However, we offer accountability for the supply of equipment and the quality of installation of this equipment in our clients homes or place of business. Backup and after sales service is usually non existent when purchasing from large retail chains.
CMM also offer vastly different level of expertise and more objective purchasing advice. This advice is often provided on-site where many factors can affect what type of system would best suit the client and the environment in which the equipment will be installed.
Where has Customer Service Gone ???
It's actually no secret that the primary goal of these large retail stores is discounted prices and high volume turn over. The television adverts don't shout "Service Service Service", of course they're always advertising "Sale Sale Sale". People often wonder what happened to customer service. It's still here of course, but rather than paying extra for it, you receive a discount to not have it.
