Safety and Comfort

Another key area of lighting control is the ability to automatically switch hallway, bathroom, entry or stairway lighting on and off as the need arises. This can be very useful if a member of the household gets up in the middle of the night. As the occupant walks into the hallway, if there are no other lights on in the home, the hallway or stairway lighting fades on at only 20%, thus avoiding shock to the eyes. If movement is continually detected for 5 mins, the lights can gradually fade up to 80% providing better illumination as the eyes adjust to the light level.
